Any law can be overturned, even Constitutional amendments. Remember slavery and prohibition? But supporters of Obamacare don’t want you thinking that way.
Two things supporters of OCare keep citing:
1) It’s the law of the land and approved the Supreme Court. Slavery was the law of the land (written by democrats) and approved by the Supreme Court.
Just because something is a law doesn’t make it a good law
2) A minority shouldn’t be able to eliminate OCare.
Blacks, a minority, eliminated segregation, a majority law
So what is so sacred about Obamacare that expanding Medicare/Medicaid couldn’t have worked just as well? Money? The payroll tax could of been expanded, and add taxes like the tax on medical equipment, a NET tax, not gross profits.
For those so devoutly embracing Obamacare, you’ve been cheated
America could’ve had everything Obamacare is only just offering now without job losses, escalating healthcare costs and no FORCIBLE conscription of every American citizen
Obama himself has alluded to cuts in health care down the road to keep OCare solvent with increasing costs and cuts in care. When it comes back around it won’t be anyone’s fault other then Obama and his devout supporters of OCare that didn’t ask questions
The single biggest question for Obama – “why didn’t you expand Medicare/Medicaid 4 yrs ago and give us the care then you’re promising now?”
The really stupid thing is the medicare/medicaid registration works NOW and works well. No glitches, no hassles and every state has it’s mechanism in place to quickly move people through the system. That is the ONLY part of Obamacare that does WORK, the expansion of Medicare because it DOES NOT rely on the federal government, but on state governments. Once again the states show up Obama and his lack of experience.
I poised points 1 & 2 to a liberal and he can’t answer those two points without resorting to rhetoric. He’s one of the devout and I respect him for that just as I would any devout religious person. When in desperate times, all the devout have is blind faith and their belief all will work out and you can’t shake that faith with facts and numbers, they have to learn for themselves
But not to stand up and point out the holes in their beliefs is not what a friend does. A friend tells a friend they are wrong, why they are wrong and the consequences. That is simply disloyal otherwise.
When you speak up and tell a friend something they don’t want to hear, loosing friends happen and their friends, who agree with their point of view, will shun you.
I made the choice, don’t hold anyone else accountable and accept the consequences
America could’ve had everything Obama promised 4 years ago, faster, reliably and be cost effective. If I was an Obamacare recipient, I’d be camping out in front of the White House asking why
The nation should take care of the impoverished to help pull them back up. Willam Ayers described America as a “mean” country. I describe the Dems as mean for having not made the changes 4 yrs ago when the country needed it even worse then now. They were self-absorbed, self-centered ego driven maniacs who were heartless and cruel to make so many wait – and die – just so they could have their name on a piece of paper
That is not what a good steward does. In a business when you don’t take of your people, they rightfully organize into unions. Our union – Congress – failed us and we need to get a new union to represent us, the American people
I tend to confuse a lot of people because I refuse to be categorized, labeled and filed away as some sociological grouping. I am not a race, gender, religion or sexual preference (though any position is good).
I am so conservative, I am liberal but I am an anti-authoritarian anarchist with good reason. Why should anyone tell us how to live our lives if we are responsible and exercise common sense and common courtesy.
I believe in abortion through the first five months without exception on the basis of individual rights. If you can’t make up your mind in 5 months, maybe you’re trying to tell yourself something. But I believe that it takes two to make a baby and the father should get a say and if he jumps in, he bears at least part of the cost unless the father wants full custody and is willing to bear the full cost. If the father says no, or runs out on the mother, the father abrogates all rights.
And you can’t go around telling a woman on welfare or otherwise poverty stricken that “no” you can’t have an abortion and then walk away and leave her and her baby to fend for themselves and say “no” you can’t have welfare. Then have that child grow up and become a criminal and then complain about the crime rate.
That is wholly irresponsible and hypocritical. It’s about responsibility and the Congressional Dems and Pres. Obama have shown none, just temper tantrums that would make a 13 yr old proud.
I agree with liberals, the ones that give of themselves, that we can help the helpless and do it responsibly, reasonably and quickly and we could’ve done it years ago
Mr. President, why didn’t you expand, not fix something that wasn’t broke, 4 yrs ago. If I could, I’d hold you criminally liable for nonfeasance, misfeasance and malfeasance
